The idea of going back to MoMA was exciting, just like going on this trip back to New York City. It had been a few years since we had last gone and the season also was different. The first time around, the MoMA visit had been wonderful. The building's architecture stayed with me longer than the actual paintings, etchings, photographs, sculptures and various installations that were on display. The whiteness of the walls, their verticality, especially from the lobby, and from some of the cut-out spaces on each floor, gave me the impression I was in a cathedral. The religion of art.
